My experience of MBTI with Mentor Desarrollo Humano can be described from two points of view.  First, the importance of learning my personality type as part of my work style, the role of our personality in everything we do, and learning more about myself.  When we know ourselves better we can improve in all areas of life.  Second, learning different personalities to understand other people better.  Far from thinking others “make everything more complicated or take too long”, and even take those actions personal, now I fully understand that it’s all about different personalities.  Different ways of thinking and acting on the same subject:  this can add value and complement my work and personal relationships by being able to understand others instead of being judgmental.  Perhaps someone else can show me something important I haven’t noticed; we can turn into a better, more creative team and, with increased trust and empathy, certainly become more successful.

Coaching helped me clarify where I was - not a good place at all.  In a simple but objective way helped me focus in the more important areas:  family, health and work.  I searched within for my own strength and abilities and where to utilize them, in addition to my academic development.  I looked at areas of my life according to their importance and interest, family, health and my job.

I am grateful and happy I have a coach; delighted of the wonderful experience that has allowed me to evolve into the new person I want to become.  I wish everybody had a coach like mine; thank you Patty for the coaching you provided:  simple, motivational and accurate.

Thanks to MBTI now I understand why I have always preferred to do things following a certain way for desired results.

After responding to MBTI my way of seeing, thinking, and doing things has changed:

-I put my ideas in order so I can do what I believe is correct and get the most out of each activity.

-Even though my type describes I am the one making decisions for others to follow, I now make an effort to listen to the ideas of others.  Team work is benefitial because it promotes exchange of ideas, making tasks more interesting to everyone.  

When I switched careers I had many doubts; I would ask myself if I had done the right thing.  I felt good, but I needed the feedback of professionals.

You helped me very much in realizing that my career change was a good decision; I had many doubts because many told me it  wasn’t.  Thanks to your applying MBTI now I am certain that my profile is right for the activity I want: sales.  Manage people, get involved in human resources – everything that relates to interaction.
